Why invest in shares?
Broadband for Preston Richard is a Community funded and implemented project. The community need to invest in the network infrastructure and the cost of installation before B4RN can take it over and run the service. The Preston Richard network has an estimated cost of £200,000. We hope to receive approximately £100,000 towards this through the government GBVS (Gigabit Broadband Voucher) Scheme. We need to raise the rest through community investment. The community can help achieve this by investing in B4RN shares and allocating their investment to the Preston Richard project. See below to find out how. The shares are currently offering a favourable 5% pa return.
What happens to my investment in B4RN shares if the Preston Richard project does not succeed?
Whilst we encourage members of the community to allocate their investment to Preston Richard, to help B4RNPR achieve its goals, your money is invested in the B4RN community benefit society and so your investment does not depend on individual projects completing.
