Thanks to great work by our volunteers the Crooklands phase of our community broadband project is nearing completion. The final road crossing has been completed and the ducting threaded through. While all the visible, external works have been going on our team of house kit installers has been busy inside all the properties getting ready for B4RN. We just need the fibre to be blown (connected) to each of the properties. In an effort to speed up the process some of the same volunteers who have been busy digging and fitting the new network have been to B4RN to be trained in blowing fibre. Hopefully Crooklands will be "live" soon!
Our Crooklands based volunteers have ensured that their little bit of the project has progressed really quickly. If you are keen for the community broadband to get to your part of the parish then please contact us via the Contact Page to see how you and your neighbours you can help. This is a community project - we cannot do it without you.
How do you fancy a glass of fizz and a mince pie? Or maybe just swap the mince pie for another glass of fizz?
On Monday, 9th December at 7pm in the Village Hall, there will be a Community Broadband meeting. The team will be giving an update on progress to date and the roll out plan for the next 12 months.
These pictures show work in progress and the tidy finish of our volunteers.
