A mixed week - our progress on Saturday was affected by the weather but we have made definite progress during the week. Despite the wet and miserable conditions Saturday saw the team tackling the core route abutting the north east end of Low Park Lane. Good progress but despite the warm drinks and cakes supplied by Carol Hall and Ceri Watson we had to admit defeat and abandon the job - but we will be back this coming weekend! We will not be beaten. And the week saw a major step forward with B4RN contractors digging across the access road to the school and the next day across Gatebeck Road. This latter job meant they had to use temporary traffic lights so apologies for any inconvenience caused.
These jobs are very important as they will let us make the connection from the main cabinet to the core route on the east and south of the village. Having completed our dig along the Northern edge of Sycamore Close work has turned to the difficult terrain alongside Alan Wilson's Yard as part of the first stage of Route 6. At least there is plenty of room for Social Distancing!
